Coblation Tonsillectomy

Coblation Tonsillectomy Surgery is performed to remove Enlarged Tonsils using Coblation Technology which employs generating high energy field plasma. Molecular bonds of tissues are broken down by plasma at 50-70 degree temperature. Unique feature of Coblation Tonsillectomy is nearly zero blood loss, very less/minimal pain after surgery compared to Laser, Diathermy technology. Indications

Complications

Complications are very rare after Surgery comparatively with other options. Few complications are common ( i.e. Bleeding and pain). Very rarely severe bleeding condition needs re-admission and Blood Transfusion. Pain is less in Coblation technique comparatively to Laser or Diathermy Techniques. Pain can be easily managed by using  Pain Killers & Antiseptic Mouth gargle.
DIET
  • Patients need to be on soft diet for 2-3 weeks.
